激动人心的二十三届奥运会已经结束了,但那满场的音乐气氛却给人留下深刻的印象。这些音乐有两个明显的特色。一是强调奥林匹克精神。什么是奥林匹克精神?一言难尽,但那来自一百六十一所大学的号手、鼓手,以他们的演奏、舞蹈服饰,朝气力量等生动的表现,形象地答复了这个问题。再一是强烈的美国风格,从整体音乐设计,从选择多数美国公民熟悉的流行小调,通俗唱法,直到早已享誉国际乐坛的爵士风格的《蓝色狂想曲》,和里根总统也随着翕动嘴唇的美国颂歌和国歌,都是美国的精神。奥林匹克精神体现了国际性,美国精神体现了民族性,两者又很好地结合起来了。
