恐龙如何交配所有的恐龙都是从恐龙蛋中孵化的,但是恐龙如何交配产生下一代我们并不清楚。恐龙的交配证据无法成为化石,而且古生物家尚未发现任何恐龙拥抱产生的化石痕迹。甚至恐龙的基本性解剖学还存在未解之谜。第一只恐龙对于古生物学家来说,任何血统最早的物种都是很吃香的生物。但问题在于化石记录只能体现它们的部分生命史,而不是全部,因此发现恐龙的起源除了需要科学,同样需要运气。目前的发现表明,最早的恐龙来自于大约2.45亿年以前,最佳候选者就是一种被称作尼亚萨龙的瘦小动物。
