This study was aimed to investigate the relationship between the -344T / C polymorphism of aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) gene and atrial fibrillation in patients with essential hypertension in the north of Henan province of China. Methods: Eighty-three patients with essential hypertension were selected by case-control study. PCR-RFLP was used to detect CYP11B2 gene in 405 patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and 398 patients with sinus rhythm (sinus rhythm) 344T / C polymorphisms were genotyped and analyzed.
