OBJECTIVE: To observe the inhibitory effect of Qinyinjiege decoction on infection of mice with type 1 influenza virus FM1 strain and on the death protection of mice infected with influenza virus. Methods: 90 NIH mice were randomly divided into normal control group, virus control group, Ribavirin group, Yinqiaosan group, Jingfangbaidusan group, Quyinjiexie decoction group and other 15 groups, except for normal control. Outside the group, the other groups were infected with the influenza A virus FM1 strain to cause viral pneumonia. Each group was given the appropriate drug intervention, medication for 4 days, and the lung index, lung index inhibition rate, and interference were observed and compared in each group. Levels of IFN-α and pathological changes in mouse lung tissue. Another 90 NIH mice were randomly divided into 6 groups. The grouping and virus infection methods were the same as before. The drug intervention was conducted for 12 days. The deaths of mice in each group were observed and the death protection effects of each treatment group on influenza virus-infected mice were compared. RESULTS: The indexes of lung index, lung index inhibition, IFN-α and death protection of the mice in the group were better than those of Yinqiaosan group and Jingfenbaidu group (P<0.05). The results of pathological examination showed that Yin Jue Jie Tang could significantly improve the histopathological changes in mice. Conclusion: When the Yinyinjiege Decoction was used, the mice infected with influenza virus had a significant inhibitory effect, which could reduce the lung lesions and increase the death protection rate in mice.
