《圣经》文化知识广泛渗透于英语语言,在英美名作、要人演说辞中显得尤为突出,高校英语教材中亦不乏其例。要真正掌握一门跨文化语言,就必须学习和掌握包括宗教文化在内的社会各方面的文化知识;因此,英语教学不仅仅是语言的教育,更是对英语文化背景知识的传授,只有引导学生了解了产生英语语言的文化背景及其文化内涵,才能真正掌握和使用这门语言,提高阅读理解能力和跨文化交际能力。
The Biblical culture knowledge permeates the English language extensively, which is especially prominent in English and American masterpieces and dignitaries, and there are many examples in college English textbooks.
