一九八八年七月十六日湘政办发22号省人民政府同意省文化厅、公安厅《关于加强打击盗掘和走私文物活动的报告》,现转发给你们,望研究执行。目前,我省一些地方不断发生盗掘古墓葬、古文化遗址和走私文物的案件,严重地破坏了古文化遗产,也,破坏了社会治安。希望各地认真组织文化、公安等有关部门对盗掘和走私文物活动进行调查、侦破和处理,采取有力措施,迅速刹住这股歪风。
On July 16, 1988, the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, No. 22 Governor’s Office, agreed that the Provincial Department of Culture and the Public Security Department’s “Report on Strengthening the Anti-Piracy and Smuggling of Cultural Relics” is forwarded to you for investigation and implementation. At present, cases of ancient tombs, ancient cultural sites and smuggling of cultural relics continue to occur in some parts of our province, which have seriously damaged the ancient cultural heritage and also destroyed public order. We hope that all localities concerned will conscientiously organize cultural, public security and other relevant departments to investigate, detect and deal with pirated mining and smuggling of cultural relics, and take effective measures to quickly halt this unhealthy trend.
