MOT/ARTS在今年七月推动了“艺术七门町”计划,邀请以姚瑞中为首的七位台湾当代年轻艺术家:卢昉、蔡宜儒、朗机工(林昆颖、张博智、陈志建)、刘致宏、许尹龄、黄华珍等,到今年底作一连四档的接力联展,并提供企业母体位于西门町的两栋五层楼老旧闲置大楼作为艺术家的驻村工作室,由MOT/ARTS负责前期整修与打通工程,以及后续两年艺术家在驻村期间的空间基本维持费用及部分创作补助,并预计于今年底将一楼整理成展览空间,提供外借申请使用,除了企图为台湾培育当代艺术新秀,也提出全新艺术经纪模式,藉由驻地的手法与区域及产业的实质互动,后续效应令人期待。
In July this year, MOT / ARTS promoted the “Art of Seven Cities” project and invited seven young contemporary Taiwanese artists headed by Yao Ruizhong: Lu Xun, Cai Yiru, Long Ji Gong (Lin Kunying, Zhang Bowizi and Chen Zhijian), Liu Zhihong and Xu Yinling , Huang Huazhen and so on, by the end of this year for a series of four relay exhibition, and provide the parent company in Ximending two five-storey old idle building as an artist’s studio in the village by the MOT / ARTS is responsible for the renovation and opening up project As well as the basic maintenance costs and some creative subsidies for artists in their stay in the village over the next two years. It is also expected that the first floor will be organized into exhibition space by the end of this year for loan applications. Apart from attempting to foster rookie of contemporary art in Taiwan, The new art brokerage model is expected to follow up with the resident’s approach and the substantive interaction between regions and industries.
