西方海军大国及俄罗斯等国十分重视水雷技术的开发与研究;美国的MK-60Captor水雷、MK67自航水雷;前苏联的SMDM自航水雷、PMK-1火箭助推上浮水雷、HSHM火箭助推定向攻击水雷等代表了世界各国未来水雷的发展趋势。在此基础上,作者提出了联网水雷的设想,列举了水雷联网的意义。水雷联网作为近几年才出现的一种新技术、新概念,早已引起某些海上强国的关注;美国也高度重视此技术,并把它作为未来水雷发展的主要方向之一。作为一种不成熟的技术,人们在研制中必须充分地进行可行性研究,使此构想能成为现实。

As an immature technology, people must conduct sufficient feasibility studies in the development to make this concept a reality.
