儿童期是人类生理成熟和性心理成熟发展全过程的开始,也是这一过程正常发展的关键时期。特别是小学阶段四、五、六年级的孩子,他们有的已经步入青春前期,离青春期只是一步之遥。此阶段的孩子,由于生活条件、生活环境的改变,接触到了更多的人和事,与客观现实的相互关系变得复杂化了,这自然会使他们产生复杂的心态,促使他们情感发展,使他们情感的内容不断丰富、充实,情感的稳定性、深刻性日益增强。同时,在教育教学的影响下,那些与精神文化的社会性需要相联系的高级情感也开始发展起来。因此,对青春前期儿童的性心理健康教育不容忽视。
