中華醫學會于8月6日至11日召開全國各地分會理事長會議,出席者有全國各地38个分會理事長及內科、外科、兒科、婦產科、眼科、皮膚科、放射科、醫史科等15個專科學會負責人共60餘人。會議由中華医學會总会理事長傅連暲等主持。中央人民政府政務院郭沫若副總理,軍委卫生部賀誠部長均到會講話。會議聽取并討論了總會理事長傅連暲關於一年來總會工作的總結報告,然後分組討論如何結合實際加强张学学術與技術的提高与普及、如何配合人民政府卫生工作的總方針號召會員努力參加國防建設工
