１９９４～１９９７年采用系统调查法，对滇中占农田混合种群４３％的褐家鼠的繁殖规律进行研究，结果表明：褐家鼠的生殖随季节变化呈周期性波动。春季、秋季为怀孕生殖高峰期，夏季、冬季为低谷期；年平均怀孕率３７．３％，平均胎仔数９．７０只，一只雌体每年平均繁殖６０只仔鼠加入种群；３月和９月为药剂防治的最佳时期。
A systematic investigation was conducted in 1994-1997 to study the reproduction of Rattus norveosus in 43% of the farmland mixed population in Yunnan Province. The results showed that the reproductive performance of Rattus norveosaucus fluctuated periodically with seasonal changes. In spring and autumn, it is the peak period of pregnancy reproductive. In summer and winter, it is low trough. The annual average pregnancy rate is 37.3% and the average number of litter is 9.70. September is the best time for drug control.
