长江航道局是隶属于交通运输部的大型公益性事业单位,主要负责长江干线2688公里航道的规划、建设、管理、维护任务,总部坐落在华中重镇武汉。改革开放30年来,在党和国家的重视下,经过一万多名长江航道职工的艰苦创业和不懈努力,极具舟楫之利的长江航道已经摆脱了昔日天然落后的面貌,步入了水畅其流、千帆竞发的流金淌银时代。
The Yangtze River Waterway Bureau is a large-scale public welfare institution affiliated to the Ministry of Transport. It is mainly responsible for the planning, construction, management and maintenance of 2,688 kilometers of waterways along the Yangtze River. The headquarters is located in Wuhan, the central city of central China. Over the past 30 years since the reform and opening up, under the great attention of the party and the state, the Yangtze River Waterway enjoying great advantages has freed itself from the natural backwardness and has entered the water-smoothing stage through the hard work and tireless efforts of more than 10,000 Yangtze River waterway workers.
