1997年5月是华东院建院45周年。华东建筑设计研究院创建于1952年,是新中国成立最早的大型综合性建筑设计院之一。 在45年的历程中,设计人员的足迹遍及祖国27个省市及16个国家和地区,共设计完成项目二万余项,创作了总建筑面积五千余万平方米的各类民用建筑与工业建筑。在一代又一代设计师们的辛勤工作和努力探索下,近年来创作了一大批以东方明珠电视塔、上海铁路新客站、虹桥国际机场候机楼、电信大楼、西郊宾馆、龙柏饭店、世贸商城、商务中心、广电大厦、新世界商城、曲阳居住小区等为代表的上海地区优秀建筑作品,目前正在为上海浦东国际机场、上海大剧院、上海艺术城、上海马戏城、上海书城、上海六里居住小区、上海万里居住区等一批大型建筑贡献自己的智慧和力量。近年来,该院的能工巧匠们还设计了(或正
May 1997 was the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the East China Academy of Sciences. Founded in 1952, East China Architectural Design and Research Institute is one of the earliest large-scale comprehensive architectural design institutes in New China. In the 45-year history, designers have covered the 27 provinces and cities of the motherland and 16 countries and regions. A total of more than 20,000 items have been designed and completed, creating a total construction area of over 50 million square meters of various types of civil buildings and Industrial building. With the hard work and efforts of generations of designers, in recent years, a large number of Oriental Pearl TV Towers, Shanghai Railway New Passenger Terminals, Hongqiao International Airport Terminals, Telecom Buildings, Xijiao Hotel, Longbai Hotel, and WTO have been created. The excellent architectural works in Shanghai, represented by shopping malls, business centers, radio and television buildings, New World Mall, and Quyang Residential Area, are currently under construction at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Grand Theatre, Shanghai Art City, Shanghai Circus City, Shanghai Book City, and Shanghai VI.
