Nanchong Gear Factory, founded in 1964, is a state-owned medium-sized enterprise with 1,604 employees. The plant has made some contribution to the economic and social development of Nanchong in history. However, after entering the 1990s, the economic benefits have fallen sharply. The losses have been continuous for 6 years. The total loss has exceeded 20 million yuan, and the debt ratio has reached 126%. It exceeded the limit of closure and was in a state of semi-discontinuation for a long period of time. It has become the “oldest” enterprise in Nanchong City.
