In this report,the history of the machinery,to which the control engineering has been applied,is investigated.Especially,the history of the robot is introduced, and European‘Automata’and Japanese‘Karakuri-Ningyo’are compared.Then,the notion of the robot is discussed and different standpoints of the robotics are stated,and the concept of‘Master-Slave Mechanical System’is also denoted.In conclusion,it is represented that all machinery, to which control technology has been applied,could be considered as things to extend the human ability.
