在仪器仪表工业中,过去多采用锡磷青铜制作弹性元件。近年来,一方面由于国际市场锡的价格猛涨,使锡磷青铜的成本也相应提高;另一方面,由于电子器件趋向于微型化,对弹性材料的要求越来越高,而锡磷青铜的强度、弹性稳定性、导电性、耐腐蚀和表面光泽度等已不能满足新的要求。因此,国内外在竞相研究锡磷青铜的代用材料。我院材料科学与工程系于1979年开展了Cu-Zn-Al系超弹性合金、高强度弹性合金和形状记忆合金的研究,经过三年多的努力,对Cu-Zn-Al系弹性合金的成分范围、生产工艺和性能测试等方面做了大量的探索性试验,发现该系合金的性能可超过锡磷青铜,并找到了较佳的成分范围和生产工艺。为了使科研变为生产力,1983年5月我院与苏州钢材厂订立协议,进行扩大试验及工业生产。材料科学与工程系副教授曹明盛、讲师刘锦文、王云辉和苏州铜材产工程师程镇康、稽敬等人在领导和工人师傅的支持下,通过大量的工作,研制成功了SP_2无锡铜基弹性合金带材,分别送苏州电视机厂、苏州电阻厂、南京胶木电器厂、南京电表厂、上海汽车配件厂、南京塑料电器厂等工厂制作弹性元件,进行装机试验,结果证明SP_2无锡铜基弹性合金的性能优于原用材料——QSn6.5—0.1锡磷青铜带,而且价格较低,其成本比锡磷青铜带可降低20%以上。江苏省冶金厅于1984年10月29日—31日在苏州主持召开了SP_2无锡铜基弹性合金带材
