初次见面李宗桦的父亲是香港人,母亲是东莞人。他很长时间都生长在香港,高中后就去了加拿大念大学。1995年春天,从加拿大回到内地已经一年多,开始逐步熟悉和学会简体中文拼音输入的李宗桦突然撞到ponysoft(马化腾架设的BBS站),李宗桦很兴奋,于是给pony写信,介绍自己是国际惠多网的成员,问自己想转到国内来该做哪些事情。10分钟后,李宗桦接到一个电话,电话那头的声音纤细温和,正是马化腾。平淡交往
