In 1963, the Ukrainian Petroleum Research Institute of Science and Technology tested a new joint drilling tool 23-9K impact-cone-type drill in the Dolomite Mine of Dokukask Dow-Dolomite Company. The purpose of the test is to determine the impact of a roller cone drill’s working ability and the wear resistance of various components and parts. The 23-9K drill is used to drill deep holes in the continuous working surface of hard rock (clear the bottom of the hole with pressure gas). The 23-9K impact-cone type drill (Fig. 1) is composed of a three-wing roller cone bit 1, a casing 2 and a reducer 3, and a pneumatic impactor 4 and a drill rod are installed inside the casing and the drill bit. 5 and bit 6, in the upper part of the pneumatic impactor
