At present, the provinces where filariasis is endemic in our country are under the control of party committees and people’s governments at all levels. The number of filariasis patients has drastically decreased. A number of counties basically eliminating filariasis have emerged. Where the filariasis has basically been eliminated, how to consolidate its prevention and control results, stop the spread of the disease and provide a scientific basis for the elimination of filariasis is an urgent issue to be studied and solved. According to the “Research Collaboration Group” meeting held by the Ministry of Health on “eight provinces and autonomous regions” to purify filariasis measures, the province held a meeting in May 1979 - October 1980 on the basis of
