Objective To understand the characteristics and clinical significance of urinary constituents of the kidney damaged by paratyphoid fever. Methods Urine protein was determined in patients with abnormal urinalysis diagnosed as paratyphoid. Results During the febrile stage, urinary glomerular and tubular urinary protein were increased, whereas urinary protein was mainly tubular protein in non-febrile period. Conclusions Kidney damage secondary to paratyphoid is characterized by renal damage: tubular proteinuria is elevated in both febrile and non-febrile phases, while albumin of medium molecular weight appears only during febrile seasons, suggesting renal complications that impair tubular or interstitial Mainly.
