在介绍澳大利亚采矿工程教育的基本情况、分析澳大利亚采矿工程专业教学方案的制定方式以及对澳大利亚8所主要开设采矿工程专业的大学的课程设置进行了详细的对比之后,归纳出澳大利亚采矿工程专业教学方案制定和课程体系结构设置的五个特点,即充分重视专业认证、多方面参与共同确定课程方案、系统全面的工程基础课程以及内容丰富的选修课程、注重实践环节的特点。
