香港背靠祖国大陆,地当太平洋和印度洋航运要冲,是亚太地区的经济中心,不论由东而西或自北往南,香港都是中途站,交通运输十分发达。目前,香港已成为一个著名的国际航运、航空中心,在国际分工和世界经济、技术交流方面扮演着重要的角色。与祖国内地的陆上运输网络也日臻完善,对扩大香港和内地经济贸易合作起着重要的作用。
Hong Kong is backed by the mainland of the motherland, and is a key hub for the Pacific and Indian Ocean shipping. It is the economic center of the Asia-Pacific region. Whether it is from east to west or from north to south, Hong Kong is a half-way stop, and transportation is well developed. At present, Hong Kong has become a well-known international shipping and aviation center and plays an important role in the international division of labor and the world economy and technology exchanges. The land transportation network with the mainland of China has also been improving day by day and it plays an important role in expanding the economic and trade cooperation between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
