简要介绍了美国铁路自50年代末开始使用红外线热轴探测器对货车轴箱进行技术诊断以来各种探测器的发展情况．文章指出，目前在美国铁路一种带有计轴指示盘的装置得到了最广泛的应用；另一种“会说话”的预报设备正在得到迅速发展．
This paper briefly introduces the development of various detectors since the U.S. railroad started to use the infrared thermal axis detector to diagnose the axle box of the truck from the late 1950s. The article pointed out that at present a device with a counting indicator disk on the U.S. Railways has been the most widely used; another “talking” forecasting device is rapidly evolving.
