一、红壤荒地的微生物系特点及其与环境条件的关系我国南方长江以南的地区分布着大面积的红壤,这类土壤养分贫瘠、呈酸性反应、质地粘重、透水性和通气性较差,是其区别于其他土壤类型理化特性的主要标志。从微生物性质来看有以下三个主要特点: 1、细菌数量低、种类少:以毕中地区发育在第四纪红色粘土母质上的红壤为例,表层每克土壤中腐生性细菌数量约100万左右,其中无芽孢细菌较少,主要是芽孢朴菌(见表8)。在芽孢杆菌中又以腊质芽孢杆菌(Baccereus)为优势菌种,其次是巨大芽孢杆菌(Bac megaterium)、球形芽孢杆菌(Bac sphaericus)、枯草芽孢杆菌(Bac subtilis),而矮小芽孢杆菌(Bac pumilus)、多粘芽孢
