Objective To investigate the significance of combined detection of serum tumor marker carbohydrate antigen 125 (CA125) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer. Methods Seventy-eight patients with cervical cancer admitted from November 2014 to November 2016 in our hospital were selected as the observation group. 68 healthy subjects were enrolled as the control group. The levels of serum CA125 and CEA in the two groups were compared by electrochemiluminescence The observation group of patients with different clinical stages of CA125, CEA levels, while comparing the diagnostic accuracy, specificity, sensitivity. Results The levels of CEA and CA125 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (all P <0.05). The levels of CA125 and CEA in patients with different clinical stages were significantly different (P <0.05) ; The level of CA125 and CEA in stage Ⅰa patients was lower than that in stage Ⅰb, the difference was statistically significant (t1 = 2.500, t2 = 1.368, P <0.05); the level of CA125 and CEA in stage Ⅰb patients were lower than that of stage Ⅱa t1 = 3.834, t2 = 5.468, P <0.05). The accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of combined diagnosis were higher than that of CEA and CA125 respectively (P <0.05). Conclusion Combined detection of serum tumor markers CA125 and CEA can improve the accuracy, specificity and sensitivity of cervical cancer diagnosis and provide an important basis for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cervical cancer.
