He was an anarchist since the age of 16; he was engaged in anthropological studies and was an important figure in anthropology; he was a scholar who was fired by Yale University for radical political claims; and now he teaches at University of London has actively organized and participated in many protests for fighting for fairness and justice. He put forward a new perspective on economics which, though incompatible with the mainstream economics theory, allows more people to see other possibilities. In 2011, Together with other activists, he launched a sensational, massive and revolutionary movement - “Occupy Wall Street.” He is one of the sponsors of the campaign - David Gray.
