望平街巡礼上海,这个所谓十里洋场,自从我有了知识,便“如雷贯耳”了。后来,在杭州读书,更是“虽不能至,心向往之”呢!在我们这些土老儿心头,最向往的便是望平街和棋盘街,那是光照世界的文化灯塔。我一到了上海,才知道所谓十里洋场,只是上海的城郊,一部分,即为闸北、虹口、杨树浦一带,原是宝山的乡区。“洋场”既是婢作夫人,“上海”城和“宝山”城
