Unix System V will be developed on iAPX 286, 68000, and 16032 microprocessors. Each microprocessor will have its own operating system version. Motorola plans to have Unix on 68,000 by August of this year. Intel and National Semicoftware Corp. are more cautiously expected to implement the plan by the end of this year. Intel is working on a large amount of microsoft work on Xenix version Ⅷ. Xenix is the name of the Unix software. Western Electric’s Tom Crowley said "Bell’s Unix architecture works with any buyer. (WesternElectric is part of Bell Labs.) But so far, no agreement has been reached with Zilog.
