2010年10月党的十七届五中全会公报指出:贯彻落实好“十二五”规划,“全党必须增强党的意识、宗旨意识、执政意识、大局意识、责任意识,抓住机遇而不可丧失机遇,坚持聚精会神搞建设、一心一意谋发展,增强工作的原则性、系统性、预见性、创造性”。从政党政治的视野看,党的十七届五中全会要求全党着力增强党的意识、宗旨意识、执政意识、大局意识、责任意识这五种意识,实际上在某种程度上契合了当前中国共产党作为我国的领导党、群众党、执政党、全国党、责任党的五种角色定位。
