火把节是彝、白、纳西、拉祜、哈尼、僳僳、普米等族的节日,还被定为彝族的民族节日。对火把节民俗的研究,很早就得到宗教学、民俗学界的重视,笔者也曾于1983年写过《火崇拜,火把节与火把节传说》一文,着重探讨了火把节的源头、火把节习俗、火把节传说演变的几个阶段及其形成原因。近年来,随着民俗调查的深入,又发现一些具有较高研究价值的火把节原生形态的材料;随着改革开放和旅游业的发展,
The festival of torches is a festival of Yi, Bai, Naxi, Lahu, Hani, Lama, Pumi and other ethnic groups, and is also designated as a national holiday of the Yi people.
