石泉水电站是陕西省目前最大的水电站.1970年开始修建,1974年第一台机组发电,1975年全部建成发挥效益.石泉水电站大坝是混凝土空腹重力坝,长353米,高65米.该坝是按百年一遇的洪水设计,装设12道泄洪闸门(四个大表孔、一个小表孔、五个中孔、一大一小底孔),保证通过21500立方米/秒洪水的安全泄洪.水库总库容为4.7亿方.建站以来,经受了一万方以上的洪水10次,尤其是安全地泄过了1983年汉江16250立方米/秒的特大洪水.
Shiquan Hydropower Station is the largest hydropower station in Shaanxi Province since 1970. The construction started in 1970 and the first generating unit in 1974 was used to generate electricity and all of them were built in 1975. The Shiquan Hydropower Station dam is a concrete fast-acting gravity dam measuring 353 meters in length and 65 meters in height.
