《艺术时代》2009年第4期发表的曾玉兰《现代水墨与民族性话语——刘国松、萧勤、仇德树、宋钢、广曜、谷文达访谈》可以呈现出现代水墨画家们在当下的立场和态度,这几位艺术家不约而同地谈到了现代水墨画理论和实践中的民族主义立场的问题。通过对文本中民族化现象的分析,我们不难看出,现代水墨画领域又开始了它的“中国文艺复兴运动”。而且,其民族性话语中带有一种强烈的政治诉求,但这种尖锐的政治诉求与主流意识形态之间暖昧不清的态度一方面削弱了自身的现代性,另一方面,也在某种程度上沦为中国文化政策的权宜之计。
