胶质母细胞瘤是神经系统最常见的恶性肿瘤,其恶性程度高,疾病进展快,目前的治疗方法效果有限,患者生存期短,死亡率高。随着近年来生物工程技术的飞速发展,一种新兴的通过基因手段改造而成的溶瘤麻疹病毒,能够特异性感染包括胶质母细胞瘤在内的恶性肿瘤细胞并在其细胞内大量复制,最终裂解并杀灭肿瘤细胞,而对正常组织几乎无影响。这种病毒的基因治疗有着传统疗法无法比拟的肿瘤特异性,相信随着研究的不断深入,在不久的将来这种基因工程溶瘤麻疹病毒可能为胶质母细胞瘤的治疗带来革命性进展。
