The University of Belem, Orissa, India, is planning to establish a new research group on science and technology policy in India, to be named the Science Policy Research and Analysis Group (SPRAG). It is a multidisciplinary research group whose mission is to study the policy and technology transfer in third world countries. The group's members come from various departments at the University of Bellun, including the natural sciences and social sciences. The head of the SPRAG team, Professor Sabas C. Patty, has prepared a report to UNESCO on “Several substantive issues of international technology transfer.” From 1984 to 1985, Professor Patti was in West Germany
