The Miles procedure uses Coligher method for colostomy. Postoperative complications of stoma necrosis or stoma retraction often occur in clinical practice, and treatment is difficult. In the past 5 years, we slightly modified the operation of colostomy, and 11 cases of stoma were treated with a modified surgical technique. The surgery was successful and the results were good. The report is as follows. Clinical data: 11 patients in this group, 6 males and 5 females;
