岳阳市是国务院批准的沿江开放城市,近两年来,岳阳市人事局围绕开放城市特有的经济格局,适应开放城市经济发展的需要,在制定人事工作目标、履行人事工作职能、加强自身队伍建设等方面,全方位实施人事经济战略,努力为全市经济建设提供优质服务,较好地促进了全市经济超常规、跳跃式的发展。1996年,全市国民经济总值达到205.9亿元,比上年增长23.8％,综合实力在全省14个地州市排名第二位。
Yueyang City is an open city along the Yangtze River approved by the State Council.
