从金属材料数据信息系统角度出发,首先论述了系统的概念,即金属材料数据信息系统建立在材料信息学基础上,已不仅仅是单纯材料数据库的概念,而是由系统、数据和应用3个部分构成。之后重点论述了与系统及数据相关的信息技术内容以及目前的发展状况。最后提出了利用信息技术建立材料数据信息系统的系统平台、数据平台和计算平台以及新的研发环境的构想。
