Once there lived a very rich and wise king.His country wassmall,but he made certain~1 that everyone had enough food andwork.His people thought that he treated them with love andkindness.Each year he held a great feast on his daughter’s birthdayand gave gifts to all who attended.Now the king had only this one child:a beautiful golden-hairedprincess.He had only her to love since the queen had died.But shewas also his greatest worry.You see,he knew that many youngmen would ask to marry her.The king was worried by only onethought,“How can I ever choose the best husband for mydaughter?”
