广义地说计算机网络是一台或多台计算机和若干终端、通信传输设备、便于终端和处理机之间或处理机之间数据流动的专用或通用的硬件组成的系统。它的组成部分为通信设备、主计算机、传输线路和保证网络中信息能有次序的流动的一组规则,这组规则由硬件或软件履行。计算机网络中这些构件的特点依赖于实现的原理。因而本文首先讨论计算机网络的结构和当前可选用的通信设备、传输设备、构成网络的规则和协议。网络的结构和构造网络的方式本节中计算机通信网络是根据它们的地理分布构形和网络结构来分类的。网络的结构至少有二级:构造整个网络的全局性级和终端访
Broadly speaking, a computer network is a system of one or more computers and a number of terminals, communication transmission equipment, dedicated or general purpose hardware that facilitates the flow of data between the terminals and the processors or between processors. Its components are communications equipment, host computers, transmission lines and a set of rules that guarantee the orderly flow of information in the network. This set of rules is performed by hardware or software. The characteristics of these components in computer networks depend on the principle of implementation. This paper first discusses the structure of computer networks and the currently available communications equipment, transmission equipment, rules and protocols that make up the network. The Structure of the Network and How the Network Is Constructed The computer communications networks in this section are categorized according to their geographical distribution and network structure. The structure of the network has at least two levels: construct the global level and terminal visit of the whole network
