2015年,我赴圣马力诺大学孔子学院担任中方院长,与当地人们的接触给我留下了深刻的印象。圣马力诺于公元301年建国,1263年制定共和法规,是欧洲最古老的共和国,面积为61.19平方公里,人口约3.2万人。圣马力诺的首都也叫圣马力诺,下设9个城堡,相当于9个市,各有一个市长。我接触到的第一位圣马力诺政府官员是曾担任四届圣马力诺执政官的泰伦齐先生。走进泰伦齐先生的办公楼,我俨然回到了中国:
In 2015, I went to the Confucius Institute at the University of San Marino as the Chinese dean and I was deeply impressed by the contacts with the locals. Founded in 301 AD, San Marino enacted republican laws and regulations in 1263. It is the oldest republic in Europe with an area of 61.19 square kilometers and a population of about 32,000.
