河南民间美术艺术文化丰富,自开封汴绣到洛阳宫灯,自朱仙镇木板年画到黄河澄泥砚,此外还有一些蕴含着高超技艺的钧瓷烧汁等等,这些内容无疑都深刻地记载着我国中原华夏文化优秀工艺的文化遗产,同时也毫无例外地体现了我国丰厚的历史文化积淀。进一步强化我国河南地区民间美术的保护和开发力度,不仅是针对民间美术艺术的继承和发展,同时还是对我国非物质文化遗产的保护和创新,更是体现河南文化软实力的关键性举措。从当前形势来看,由于受到西方文化的影响,我国河南民间美术艺术当中所蕴含着的遗产也正在开始寻找新的机遇。一方面,一些河南民间美术遭遇了重大危机,有的甚至已面临消失的危险;另一方面,原本数量较多的民间美术艺术传承艺人也逐年减少。因而,保护、抢救处于困境中的民间美术遗产显得至关重要。
