简要论述了12V180ZJ型柴油机质量的提高，经历了发现问题进行攻关试验的自力更生阶段，以及改革开放后，通过国际合作使产品质量迅速进入国际先进水平行列的新途径。
This paper briefly discusses the improvement of the quality of the 12V180ZJ diesel engine, the self-reliance phase of the research on problems found and the new way of bringing the product quality into the international advanced level through international cooperation after the reform and opening up.
