作为上海市课程改革研究与实验基地,学校早在2002年就提出了“做强基础型课程,活化拓展型课程,适度引入探究型课程”的课程原则,建立了开放教育理念下的课程设置。“小学校,儿童幸福之起始也”。这是学校首任校长李庭翰先生在1911年描绘的教育理想。“尊重生命,开放教育”是学校在续写历史、传承文化中凝聚的办学理念。近年来,学校在课程建设、课堂结构创新、学生发展性评价等方面,研究教育机制、方法的创新发展,探索教育转型,实践绿色发展。
