书号,是国家赋予出版单位出版图书权力的一种标志。它本身不具有价格,不是商品,不能买卖。世界各国都是如此。然而,目前我国的书号却变成了有价的商品,明码标价,公开买卖。当然,绝大多数是打着所谓“协作出版”的名义。只是当卖书号出的书内容上有重大错误时,出版单位才承认是卖书号。大凡卖了书号,出版单位就很难把握书的质量和内容。据政府出版管理部门查到的在内容上有错误的图书,90％以上都是买卖书号出版的。
