Due to the difficulty of preparation of various cast iron standard samples, it has been the object of many standard sample research units. Since 1980, several sets of cast iron standard samples have come out one after another, but they are still far from meeting the needs. In particular, the demand for standard samples for casting various types of cast iron instruments cast in white castings is particularly prominent in the field of foundry engineering. For this reason, Twelfth Institute and the Ministry of Metallurgical Iron and Steel Research Institute
