SPRING WORKSHOP,HONG KONG 2016.8.20-2016.10.16黄慧妍的个展“不要太努力让事情发生”平实地述说她对女性身份、母性及女子作为艺术家的态度,从容而幽默。直觉有时候是通达知识最纯粹的途径,但在知性逻辑思维抬头统领一切后,直觉则被忽略甚至贬抑,黄慧妍的作品除了对身份问题的探索,更重要的是她将直觉不加掩饰地呈现。展览中的作品名多是陈述句,并且作为一种表态,如《不要抗拒闪电,即使看来要劈在你头上》;《有些事情透过祖母来完成,有些事情透过圣母来完成》点出生而为人的本分与位置,女子无以逃离母系血脉与异性恋
SPRING WORKSHOP, HONG KONG 2016.8.20-2016.10.16 Huang Wai-yin’s Solo Exhibition “Do not Do Too Much to Make Things Happen” To be honest about her attitude towards female identity, motherhood and woman as an artist, calm and humorous. Intuition is sometimes the purest way to gain knowledge. However, intuition is ignored or even depreciated after intellectual logic is up and everything else is guided. In addition to exploring the issue of identity, Huang Hui-yan’s work more intuitively and unobtrusively . Most of the works in the exhibition are declarations and statements as “Do not resist lightning, even though they seem to be split in your head”; “Some things are done through grandmothers, and some things are done through Madonna” Birth and man’s role and position, women are not fleeing maternity and heterosexuality
