1994年,全省各族人民在省委、省政府的领导下,认真贯彻“抓住机遇、深化改革、扩大开放、促进发展、保持稳定”的方针,加大开放改革力度,国民经济继续保持较快发展势头,科技、教育、文化、卫生、体育等各项社会事业继续发展。全年国内生产总值2712.36亿元,比上年增长11.1%,其中:第二产业增加值1166.22亿元,增长17.1%;第三产业增加值823.01亿元,增长11.9%。经济发展中的主要问题是:物价涨幅过高,部分国有企业生产经营困难、效益低下,农业基础脆弱、发展后劲不足。
