莲花,自古以来不知有多少文人墨客为之赞颂。她,清丽挺直,出污泥而不染。连城县莲花村党支部书记李金海也恰似莲花一般,在建国初期,曾连续几年被评为省劳动模范。他一向艰苦朴素,草鞋不离脚,人们热情地称他为“草鞋书记”。到了改革开放年代,莲花村党支部同样没有辜负党和人民的期望,在率领村民建设社会主义新农村中不断取得新的成绩,连年被地、县评为先进党支部,1989年还被评为省先进党支部。为此,我们慕名专访了莲花村。刚到村委所在地,只见一个中年汉子正同一位青年促膝谈心,苦口婆心地对那个不孝敬自家老人的青年进行尊老爱幼的说服教育。
