随着中国在国际社会中地位提高,对专业人才在国际社会中的英语综合应用能力的要求也越来越高。传统的英语教学方式已经无法满足中国高校专业英语的教学需求,而EAP教学能够培养学生的学术语言知识和技能,帮助高校培养出既懂专业又通晓英语的国际性人才。本文探讨了中国高校专业英语教学进行EAP教学的必要性和可行性,分析了EAP教学在中国高校专业英语教学中的应用现状,提出了EAP教学进行的一些实践策略,为在高校专业英语教学中进一步推广EAP教学提供一些经验和参考。
As China’s status in the international community has increased, so has the demand for professionals in English in the international community. Traditional English teaching methods can no longer meet the teaching needs of professional English in Chinese universities. EAP teaching can cultivate students’ academic language knowledge and skills, and help colleges and universities develop international talents who are both professional and proficient in English. This article discusses the necessity and feasibility of EAP teaching in English teaching in Chinese universities and colleges, analyzes the current situation of the application of EAP teaching in English teaching in Chinese universities, and puts forward some practical strategies for teaching EAP teaching in English teaching in colleges and universities. Further promotion of EAP teaching provides some experience and references.
