The earliest adopter of blood donation was British gynecologist Brender. In the 1820s, Brender used human blood to infuse and was successful in 4 out of 8 times. The most blood donor was the German man Frank Loose. In early 2002, the German Red Cross Society disclosed that the 58-year-old Lozer began donating blood 33 years ago. He had donated blood for 800 times and had a total blood donation of 480 liters, breaking the world record. International Red Cross announced in June 2003
